Teide National Park is the highest area of the island of Tenerife (in the Canary Islands) and Spain. Declared on January 22, 1954 as a National Park, is the largest and oldest of the national parks of the Canary Islands and the third oldest in Spain. This park was incribed in the list of "Bienes Naturales Patrimonio Mundial (Unesco)" in july 2007, and since that year it is also considered one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.
