Until December 2020, the Life Triton Montseny project is being developed with the aim of improving the conservation status of this amphibian (Calotriton arnoldi) endemic to Montseny and its riverside habitat. The initiative, co-financed by the LIFE programme of the European Union, is coordinated by the Management of Services of Natural Spaces of the Diputación de Barcelona (coordinating partner), and has the collaboration of three beneficiary partners: the Diputación de Girona, the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona Zoo.
