Sa Galera is the name of one of the seven fiefdoms into which the Kingdom of Majorca was divided by King Jaume I when he conquered the island to the Moors. D. Nuño Sanz ran the estate which housed the most important cavalry corps in the island. Its fertile fields were full of vineyards, almond trees and carob trees.
