Parc Naturel Régional des Landes de Gascogne
The Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park (more than 315,000 hectares) is located north of the Landes and south of Gironde, east of the Atlantic coast and the banks of the Arcachon Basin. The Landes de Gascogne forest was planted by man in the 19th century in order to clean up the marshes and fix the quicksand of the coastal dunes. Google Maps
