
Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine
With an extension of 219,400 hectares, the Regional Natural Park of Lorraine stretches across three departments: Meuse, Meurthe and Moselle and Moselle. It has considerable natural riches, with landscapes made up of agricultural plateaus, forest valleys, water courses, wet meadows, and 340 ponds spread across Woëvre and the Country of Ponds. Within its wetlands, the Little Woëvre ponds and the Lindre pond complex are known worldwide. There are also numerous orchards where the famous Lorraine mirabelle plum is grown, among other things.
