Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue
Protected by the Camargue Regional Natural Park, Camargue stretches over 85,000 hectares. Located between the two arms of the Rhone, more specifically at the mouth, Camargue is a territory of large flat and wild areas, unique in Europe. The landscapes are a wonderful succession of rice paddies, salt pans, swamps, ponds (of which the Vaccarès is the largest), marshes with reeds (reed beds) with pink flamingos, and moorlands with salicores where white horses gallop or graze the herds of Camargue bulls.
