
Parc National des Cévennes
The Cevenas National Park is located south of the Central Massif, covers an area of 321,380 hectares and stretches southeast of Lozère and northwest of Gard. The highest point of the park is Mount Lozère, whose Finiels summit is 1699 meters high. With its wild and protected landscapes, dotted with torrents, rivers and streams, it houses a rich and varied fauna and flora, which have earned it the status of being declared a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO.
