The Cabañeros national park is one of the fifteen national parks in Spain and is, along with the Tablas de Daimiel, one of the two present in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. The park has an area of 40,856 ha, covering land of six municipal areas and is one of the best Spanish representations of Mediterranean forest, both for its high degree of conservation and for the representative nature of the different associated ecological systems.
